DETAILS
Sculptural wooden armchair dating from the first half of the 20th century, executed in a distinctly primitive and Anthroposophical manner. The chair is constructed from substantial wooden planes, with curved side panels, arched cut-outs and an unusually enclosed architectural form. Its deliberately irregular geometry and rejection of conventional furniture construction relate closely to the Anthroposophical design language that developed around Rudolf Steiner and his architectural ideas. The dark finish has developed a rich patina, with visible wear and traces of use throughout.


CONDITION
Good original condition with wear, marks and surface variations consistent with age, adding to its character.
