Pair of Dutch armchairs from the 1920s, designed in the characteristic architectural language of the Hague School.The chairs feature strongly constructed wooden frames with broad geometric armrests, paneled sides and restrained angular detailing. Their solid proportions and emphasis on structure reflect the Dutch modernist approach of the period, combining influences from the early Art-Deco movement with the more rational geometry associated with Hendrik Wouda and Frits Spanjaard. The dark stained wood is complemented by the original grey upholstered seats and backrests, retaining a sober and architectural appearance.


CONDITION
Structurally sound. Patinated wood with occasional marks. Original upholstery without damages.
