A set of six oak dining chairs produced in France during the 1970s. The design is defined by its clear construction: rounded exaggerated legs, a single horizontal backrest rail, and woven rush seats set within the frame. The chairs reflect a broader twentieth-century interest in vernacular furniture forms, an approach notably explored by designers such as Charlotte Perriand, who frequently drew from traditional rural seating in her reinterpretations of modern interiors. The natural rush seats introduce a tactile contrast to the solid oak structure, while the pronounced leg elements give the chairs a sculptural presence.
