A refined extendable dining table designed by Harvey Probber and produced by Harvey Probber, Inc., USA, circa 1955. Sometimes referred to as the “Bow-Tie” table, this piece features a gently curved warm teak top, resting on tapered dark stained legs capped with brass sabots. The integration of contrasting woods and subtle detailing speaks to Probber’s modernist sensibility, while the proportions and craftsmanship reflect the designer’s enduring emphasis on material quality and understated elegance. This is a rare and collectible piece from one of the key innovators of the period.


CONDITION
Age-appropriate wear to the surfaces. Some marks on the dark stained legs. Brass accents show a soft, natural patina. The table is structurally sound and retains its original finish.
